South Indian actress, Tamannaah Bhatia, is making her Bollywood debut in the remake of Himmatwala. The actress will be playing Sridevi's role and is looking forward to meeting the original Himmatwali, Sridevi. The movie's shooting will commence this week, in Hyderabad.

Unfortunately, due to tight schedules, both the Himmatwalis are unable to find time to meet each other. While Tamannaah is busy shooting for Puri Jagannath's new Telugu film, Sridevi is busy promoting her new film, English Vinglish. A disappointed Tamannaah says, "I grew up dancing to Sridevi's 'Ta thaiya ta thaiya' and 'Mere haathon mein nau nau churiyan hai' in front of the mirror. I think every Indian girl idolizes Sridevi. I'd spend hours learning and imitating her steps. And today, to be playing her role from Himmatwala...it's a dream come true!! I am still pinching myself in disbelief."

The actress will also be seen wearing a leather outfit, posing with a whip, just like how Sridevi did in the original movie. Tamannaah has watched the original film several times, but says it will be impossible to imitate her.

Lets wait and see how well Tamannaah will play the new age Sridevi!
