Suriya's first film, Nerukku Ner released on this day (September 6), 25 years back, in 1997 and there has been no look back since then. In these 25 years, Suriya has seen it all, success, failure, happiness, setbacks, and whatnot. Over the years, he has developed and transformed himself into a great actor and he has become a force to reckon with. The fans have been celebrating this special occasion on social media through various forms - hashtags, tribute videos, common DPs, and more, making it one of a kind event.

Marking the special feat, Suriya took to his official Twitter page to express his happiness about the same. He called the 25 years to be a blessing and asked his fans to dream and believe in their dreams. Suriya tweeted, "Truly a beautiful and blessed 25 years..! Dream and believe..! Your suriya". Similarly, 2D Entertainment, the production house owned by Suriya shared a special wish to their boss through a poster which has turned viral among the fans. Suriya's journey as an actor is a big source of inspiration for lakhs and lakhs of youngsters as we've seen him grow from nothing to becoming everything.
