The wait is all set to come to an end in the week ahead as the first single from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer is gearing up for its release. Prestigious production banner Sun Pictures on Sunday, July 2, released a new promo featuring 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, who is seen chilling out and playing video games, when he receives a phone call from the highly-anticipated film's director Nelson Dilipkumar. We see in the promo before Nelson's call how Anirudh has kept a picture of Rajinikanth as his phone wallpaper thus once again showing how big a fan of the 'Superstar' he is. The fun promo then ends with Anirudh skipping the call and telling that Nelson will be asking about the Jailer promo, with the composer informing that he will see to it tomorrow.
In their tweet, Sun Pictures revealed that the Jailer first single and its promo are ready. Sharing the promo for the first single update, the blockbuster production banner further added that the song's announcement promo will be out on Monday, July 3, at 6 p.m. Earlier on Saturday, Anirudh shared a photo of Rajinikanth from the smash hit 1992 film Annamalai on Instagram in which the actor can be seen holding four fingers and gesturing to comedy legend Janagaraj, with fans speculating that the Jailer first single will be out in the coming week on June 4 (Tuesday) or June 5 (Wednesday). Jailer marks the first-time collaboration of Rajinikanth with director Nelson Dilipkumar and expectations are massive for the film considering each of their previous outings, Annaatthe (2021) and Beast (2022), ended up getting mixed reviews despite turning out to be phenomenal box office successes.
