EXCLUSIVE: Aditi Shankar confirms her next film with Billa and Arrambam director Vishnuvardhan, reveals shooting details for the first time

Aditi shankar confirms her next movie with billa director vishnuvardhan maaveeran sivakarthikeyan - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Aditi Shankar became a youth sensation in her acting debut in leading Tamil actor Karthi's Viruman directed by M. Muthaiah in 2022, which saw her deliver a powerful performance. The film's success not only gave her a grand launch in Tamil cinema but also skyrocketed her popularity overnight apart from being known as ace filmmaker Shankar's daughter. All set to be seen as the female lead next in Sivakarthikeyan's highly-anticipated Maaveeran opening in cinemas worldwide on July 14, Aditi Shankar sat down for an exclusive interview to talk about her role in the upcoming mass action drama, while also confirming officially for the first time that she has indeed been cast in blockbuster director Vishnuvardhan's new film.

Speaking about her new film after Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran, Aditi Shankar revealed, "Actually, my next project is signed. I'm doing a film with Vishnuvardhan sir." She added, "We actually finished one schedule in Chennai. After this, we're planning to go abroad for one schedule. That's all I can say for now. I'm revealing this for the first time in your interview." Although it had been reported a while back that Aditi is indeed working on director Vishnuvardhan's next film, this is the first official confirmation from the popular actress herself and is yet another biggie for her.

Aditi Shankar's next film after Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran under Vishnuvardhan's direction will see her sharing screen space with actor Atharvaa's brother Akash Murali, who himself is making his acting debut. The upcoming film is being bankrolled by Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner and is the hit producer's next big film after the smash box office success of the blockbuster Master (2021) starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is also Vishnuvardhan's next big directorial after the stunning success of his Bollywood debut Shershah (2021) and is his big comeback to Tamil cinema after a gap of almost eight years when he made Yatchan (2015). Tamil cinema fans are particularly excited to see the hit filmmaker deliver yet another memorable film once again along the lines of his blockbusters Billa (2007) and Arrambam (2013) he made with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar.
