Superstar was presented with the portrait of Sri Purandara Dasa, who is considered as one of the pioneers of Carnatic music. We hear that Superstar is the only person without any musical background to receive this honour.
Though the Kochadaiyaan actor couldn't the attend, his Rao Bahadur collected the potrait on his behalf.
