Actress Sunny Leone, who enjoys a great fan following across the country, has signed a new Tamil film, which was officially launched this morning (April 19). This untitled film will be a horror - comedy that will be directed by R Yuvan who earlier directed the film, Sindhanai Sei. Sunny Leone will play the lead role in this film which also has Sathish, Ramesh Thilak, Mottai Rajendran, 'Pazhaya Joke' Thangadurai, Vinod Munna, and others in supporting roles. The film was officially launched with a special pooja this morning and the shoot has also commenced. The pictures from the film's launch event are now doing rounds on social media and it has made the fans look forward to the project.

Sunny Leone is yet to join the sets and she is expected to start shooting soon. This new film is produced by DV Sakthi under the banner of VAU Media Entertainment, in association with K Sasikumar's White Horse Studios. Talking about the project in an official statement, director R Yuvan said, “I have already directed a Tamil movie Sindhanai Sei and written screenplay for Telugu movies – Ranam, Katharnak, and few more movies. The highlighting trait about the movie is its horror-comedy genre which is treated with a backdrop of a historical base. The film has a powerful lead character, which I thought would be perfect for an actress like Sunny Leone. Sathish and Sanjana will be performing the other lead characters in the movie. We have planned the shooting schedules in Chennai, Perambalur, and 25 days schedule in Mumbai.”.

The shooting has now started in Chennai. The further schedules will be planned depending upon the Covid 19 situation. Maanagaram and Anbirkiniyal fame music director Javed Riaz will be composing tunes for this film, while the cinematography will be handled by Deepak D. Menon. Sunny Leone's debut Tamil film as a lead will be Veeramadevi which is a period war film, directed by VC Vadivudaiyan. Veeramadevi has been in production for a long time and we are yet to get a clarity on the film's current status. Veeramadevi was planned to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
