Suriya is currently shooting for his untitled next with director Pandiraj and it will be his next release in Tamil cinema after Soorarai Pottru. Tentatively titled Suriya 40, this film is bankrolled by Tamil cinema's leading production house, Sun Pictures and it has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs. Suriya 40 is touted to be an action-packed rural entertainer that will be high on entertainment value. Earlier this morning (April 9), Suriya fans were pleasantly taken aback when they happened to see a new picture from the film. Yes! Sun Pictures released a new picture of Suriya from the film and this is another picture that follows the pattern of not revealing the protagonist's face.

A few weeks before, when Suriya had joined the shooting of the film, he had posted a picture and we saw a silhouette shot of him. The latest picture that has been released by Sun Pictures is also one such silhouette picture in which we see him walking with a sword in his hand. We also see a glimpse of Suriya's hairdo in the film and it looks like he will sport long hair look. The picture has already gone viral on social media and it has hyped up the expectations among the fans. It has been quite some time since we saw Suriya in a full-fledged rural drama and it is going to be an interesting watch for the film buffs.

Director Pandiraj's last two films - Kadai Kutty Singam and Namma Veetu Pillai were big hits at the box office and the talented filmmaker will be looking forward to continuing the momentum with Suriya 40, as well. The film will have music scored by D Imman, while the cinematography will be handled by R Rathnavelu. The film features Doctor fame Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, alongside several other notable actors including Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Ilavarasu, Saran Shakthi, Dhivya Dhuraisamy, Cibi, Akash Premkumar, and many others. Suriya 40 is expected to be a film that will attract family audiences in large numbers.
