Sukumari: exceptional performance
Veteran actress Sukumari has delivered an exceptional performance in Mizhikal Saakshi which was released recently, according to initial reports. Sukumari plays the role of a dumb mother in the film.
The story revolves around Kuniyamma, a widow who becomes a street dweller after losing her only son. Sukumari is very happy with her performance in the film. and said that the role was a welcome change as she had done many roles where she talks too much. Mohanlal appears in a guest role where he plays the son of Sukumari.
The producer of the movie is V.R. Das and he is all praise for Sukumari. He said in an interview, "Sukumari has done a tremendous job; throughout the film, you will forget Sukumari and its only Kuniyamma you will see."
Mizhikal Saakshi is directed by Ashok R. Nath; and this is his third film. The screen play is written by Anil Mukhathala; the film also features Krishna Prasad, Nedumudi Venu, Kochu Preman, Manoj K. Jayan and Kailash Nath.
