STR's long awaited Vaalu, directed by debutant Vijan Chander, is likely to hit screens on August 15. The film is almost completed except for climax and songs. There are reports that the delay is due to the absence of Santhanam, who is busy shooting for Thalaivaa in Australia. Vaalu also stars VTV Ganesh and Hansika in important roles. Music is composed by Thaman. The story of the film, which is touted to be a rom-com, revolves about a youngster living in the railway quarters in Chennai and is expected to be a complete entertainer. Vaalu is produced by NIC Arts.
