Sivakarthikeyan is currently one of the most trending actors in the Tamil film industry. He has managed to become a household name by captivating the audience belonging to various age groups and from different walks of life. The comedian turned actor and playback singer is now awaiting the release of his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Prince which is all set for a grand Diwali release on October 21. During a recent exclusive interview with Galatta Plus headed by National Award winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, Sivakarthikeyan was asked if it is difficult to be a top hero or is it difficult to keep that position. SK smiles and says that both are very very difficult. He continues, "It has now become a thing where only very few people are able to coming into cinema. And even in that its like the survival of the fittest. I am not talking in the competition angle but since there are so many films being released, in that we should see if our movie gets the visibility, and when it does we should ensure our content is correct and if all that works out we have to continue doing it."

He adds, "It is not like 'Oh this film ran! Okay!'. Especially now. One can be in the industry if he gives hits and that way can keep trying something new. Because that way the audience will already be a little familiar with our work. But if we want to further push it to the next level, consistency is important plus there is then the necessity to push our own boundaries."
