Sivakarthikeyan is easily one of the most fond and favorite actors in Tamil cinema at the moment. He has managed to make a name for himself by attracting audience from various age groups and different walks of life. The comedian playback singer actor is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Prince which is scheduled to hit the big screens during Diwali on October 21.

During a recent interview with Galatta Plus headed by National Award winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, SK was asked yo elaborate on the film other than the trailer that was dropped few days back. SK replied saying, "Why is there so much problem in the town for this love between an Indian and a Britisher and how this situation is faced is the story. None of the characters are very smart. Only the mother's character and the heroine are smart. Only they react properly while the others react based on what they know and what is going on around them."

He continued by saying, "We talk and think about war, border and humanity a lot. These are things we have discussed in the film. So, there is a beautiful thought to it. The film says no to war. That is what it is basically about". Written and directed by Anudeep KV, Prince marks Sivakarthikeyan’s debut in Tollywood. Thanks to the director’s growing popularity in the Telugu states, the star feels the film has greater visibility there compared to his previous movies.

If Prince becomes a commercial success, it will be Sivakarthikeyan’s third successful film in a row. His last two films Doctor and Don exceeded expectations by bringing crowds back to theatres in huge numbers despite the prevalence of Covid at the time.
