Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on July 14 and the leading Tamil actor-producer will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders in his first big release of 2023. Directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin under producer Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies banner, the film is coming out amidst massive expectations, with the buzz shooting up after Red Giant Movies acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights recently, followed by the entire overseas release being done by Ahimsa Entertainment and Hamsini Entertainment. With post-production works set to be completed in the next few days and promotions currently underway, it has now been announced that the highly-anticipated Maaveeran trailer will be out on July 2 and is no doubt a cause for celebration for Sivakarthikeyan's fans everywhere.

The announcement of the Maaveeran trailer has come at the right time and Sivakarthikeyan's fans will now finally get to witness the star in action once again after he was last seen in Prince released in 2022. There's a lot riding on the upcoming film and SK will be looking to hit the bullseye this time after his Prince last year ended up getting mixed reviews. Sivakarthikeyan is playing the role of a cartoonist in Maaveeran, with his character being introduced in an intriguing manner amidst an action-packed backdrop in the film's announcement glimpse last year.
Maaveeran has Sivakarthikeyan paired with Aditi Shankar, who became a youth sensation after the stupendous success of her debut film, Viruman, starring Karthi in the lead role. The popular actress and SK recently also sang the 'Vannarapettayila' song in the mass action entertainer, which has since become a chart-topping hit, and fans have also taken an instant liking to their on-screen chemistry from the visuals released so far. The film also releasing in Telugu under the title Mahaveerudu stars filmmaker Mysskin cast as the antagonist, followed by Pushpa fame Suneel, veteran actress Saritha, and comedy actor Yogi Babu in key roles, while the music is composed by Bharath Sankar. Maaveeran is an important film for Sivakarthikeyan and the actor's fans are looking to witness him deliver yet another notable performance along the lines of the 2021 blockbuster Doctor, but this time in an intense action role.
