Silambarasan TR's recent transformation left fans stunned world over, with the first look and motion poster for the first of his upcoming ventures, Eeswaran, flooring everyone. Simbu, who had been shooting for the mass action rural entertainer in Dindigul, has now taken to his social networking pages to drop a bombshell announcement. Being produced by KV Durai & MDM Sharfudden under the D Company banner, STR has announced that the much-awaited Eeswaran teaser will be coming out as a Diwali treat for fans, while also revealing that the shooting on the film has been wrapped.

Eeswaran, which will also be releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, is Silambarasan TR's quickest film to date, with the actor completing his portions in less than a month since production kicked off. The film has sparked massive excitement among fans, who were blown away by the release of the mass motion poster, which had STR holding a snake, while introducing his character, including another image of him taking to the cricket field, with the actor’s voiceover challenging his opponents. Simbu, in his tweet wrote, "#ShootCompleted #EeswaranTeaserForDiwali I heart fully thank each and everyone of my team #Eeswaran for this beautiful journey! & Special thanks to all my fans for all the love and support #SilambarasanTR #Atman #STR." Announced to be coming out as a Pongal 2021 treat, Simbu's fans will now begin their preparations for the Eeswaran teaser celebrations, considering Diwali is less than 10 days away. The film is also the third-time reunion for STR with composer S. Thaman, who previously churned out hit tunes in films namely Osthe and Vaalu. Eeswaran will see the flamboyant actor romancing Nidhhi Agerwal from the upcoming Jayam Ravi starrer Bhoomi, while veteran director Bharathiraja, actress Nandita Swetha and Bala Saravanan have been cast in important supporting roles. The film also includes S Thirunavukkarasu handling the cinematography, while Anthony has come on board as the editor and Rajeevan is the art director.

With Eeswaran now wrapped, Simbu will be heading next to resume filming his portions on director Venkat Prabhu's mass masala political entertainer, Maanaadu, in the next few days. The actor is also expected to recommence the remake of the Kannada film Mufti and will be seen in an extended cameo appearance in Maha, which wrapped up its production last week.
