Talented actor Arun Vijay is on resurgence mode ever since Yennai Arindhaal and has been delivering hit after hit. One of his recent successful films Thadam which featured him in dual roles, was applauded for the confined writing and engaging screenplay that maintained the suspense until the very end. The film has already been remade in Telugu as RED, which is currently in the post-production stages and will be released once the theatres reopen. It was initially planned to release on April 9th but couldn’t hit the screens due to corona lockdown. This Telugu version of Thadam stars Ram Pothineni, Nivetha Pethuraj and Amritha Aiyer in lead roles.

Thadam is all set to be remade in Hindi as well. The Bollywood version will have Sidharth Malhotra as the male lead, in dual roles. Directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar, the shooting of this untitled film was supposed to begin from May 2020. Sidharth had also revealed that the film will hit the screens on November 20, this year but the delay in release looks certain at this point as all their shooting plans have been called off since they couldn’t get permission to shoot the film in Delhi. The team had planned to start the film’s shoot in Delhi from this month but since Delhi has not allowed shoots to resume the makers are considering alternate locations for shoot. The actual plan was to start and finish the film in one go in Delhi. Reports suggest the team is planning to start the film in the month of August in a new location.
