Short and simple!

Simple things are not always as simple as they seem! For instance, take the atom, the basic unit of matter, which is invisible to the naked eye. Can you imagine the amount of energy it can release in a few milliseconds? Philosophically, simplicity is the principal attribute of the Highest Being, God. Perhaps, that could be the reason why simple things are beyond understanding compared to any complex ones. Love, Beauty and Truth all are fundamentally so simple making them harder for the human mind to assimilate.

Coming to filmmaking, ad-film making is the toughest and most complex task compared to commercial filmmaking, as an ad should be effective and simple on the screen in a matter of seconds. In fact, very few commercial filmmakers can become successful ad-filmmakers. Now, what is the point we would like to make?

A Thrissur-based director has made a ‘haiku film’ titled The Man in an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The length of the film is just 10 seconds and the movie has only seven shots! Wow!

Director Sathar Adhoor, our hero, said his film depicts the helplessness of an ant that had fallen into a pool of water and the hands of a man that kill the insect. The film tries to say that humanity teeters between righteousness and cruelty.

Sathar Adhoor is a man who loves all miniature things. In July, he published a miniature book, titled ‘SMS stories’, containing 101 short stories written by him. The 4 cm x 2.5 cm book weighs only 2 gm and has 104 pages. It was printed using 7-point font size.
