Shaam's Telugu debut as hero
Popular Tamil actor Shaam, who is flying high in the Tollywood circuit with his debut negative role�in Ravi Teja starrer Kick, has signed up as hero for the first time in a Telugu film titled Veedu Manavade, to be directed by Netaji under the banner of Annam Films International. Mallika Kapoor is the heroine.
Rumours insist that Veedu Manavade is the remake of Shaam's recent Tamil film Antony Yaar, revolving around an orphan Antony (Shaam), a generous and kindhearted fisherman brought by a parish priest. This Tamil film, set in the backdrop of a Christian fishermen community, was directed by C.T. Pandi and produced by C. Vijayakumar under the banner of Annam Films International.
