Thalapathy Vijay recently wrapped up the shooting of his next movie, Varisu, and left for Dubai for a short vacation. The team is said to be elated with the way the film has shaped up and an exciting treat is said to be awaiting fans. A Diwali special poster featuring Thalapathy Vijay was released yesterday (Oct 24) and it was the talk of the town, garnering wide attention on social media. The poster instantly hyped up the expectations of the fans, making them look forward to the film which is set for release in January 2023 for Pongal. Meanwhile, an exciting update on Varisu has been known, and here is what you need to know.

According to reliable reports, leading film production and distribution banner, Seven Screen Studio, has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights of Varisu for a record price. One can surely hope the film to have a wide release across a humongous number of screens and a blockbuster opening is on the cards. Seven Screen Studio, owned by Lalit Kumar, is one of the leading production houses that has bankrolled films like Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Mahaan, Cobra, etc. Interestingly, Lalit Kumar has already associated with Vijay for Master as its co-producer and he also presented the film across Tamil Nadu through Seven Screen Studio. An additional insight is that Seven Screen Studio will only be bankrolling the highly anticipated Thalapathy 67, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The Master success is all set to repeat once again with Varisu and an official announcement regarding the same is awaited. Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film has cinematography handled by Karthik Palani, while the editing is taken care of by Praveen KL. Ram - Laxman, Peter Hein, and Dhilip Subbarayan have worked on choreographing the action episodes of the film. Vamshi Paidipally has collaborated with Hari and Ahishor Solomon for the story and screenplay of Varisu, while the dialogues (Tamil) and additional screenplay is penned by lyricist Vivek. Raju Sundaram, Shobi, and Jani Masters have choreographed the songs.
