Ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan's casting in his brother Dhanush's landmark 50th film, tentatively titled D50, being produced under Kalanithi Maran's prestigious Sun Pictures banner has been doing the rounds for the past few days and a new photo has now once again set off a buzz among fans on social media. Having previously shared screen space in Naane Varuvean (2022) in a small, but powerful cameo role, the blockbuster director's latest picture with the caption "Feeling different" and a couple of nerd face emojis although doesn't reveal any big details, began creating chatter online, especially after S. J. Suryah quoted it on X on Friday, August 4, with three smiling face with three hearts emojis.

Although there's been no official announcement or confirmation regarding the casting of D50, S.J. Suryah's name too has been mentioned on social media on a number of occasions even before the film went on floors in July. Speculations took a new flight when Dhanush wished S. J. Suryah during the release of his Bommai in June, which immediately got fans excited about the possibility of the two powerhouse talents coming together on the big screen in D50. It is to be noted that S. J. Suryah was previously cast in a key role alongside Sarathkumar, Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, Srikanth, and Aditi Rao Hydari in a multi-starrer project in 2018, which was set in the pre-Independence era, but later got dropped, and would have followed suit as Dhanush's second outing as a filmmaker after his directorial debut, Pa. Paandi (2017).

Whether both Selvaraghavan and S. J. Suryah will be making appearances in D50 remains to be seen and fans are waiting for official announcements on the rest of the cast and crew. It is to be noted that the upcoming biggie is the second time Sun Pictures is collaborating with Dhanush after Thiruchitrambalam (2022), which went on to become a phenomenal box-office success, and all hopes will be pinned on scaling new heights this time.
