Sarathkumar's pan-India plan!

With his powerful portrayal of Edachena Kukkan in superstar Mammootty's recent magnum opus historical film Pazhassi Raja, popular Tamil actor and Nadigar Sangam chief Sarathkumar has truly become a reigning star actor overnight in Malayalam!

In an interview to a leading English daily, he says, “I owe it all to director Hariharan and scriptwriter M.T. Vasudevan Nair. I’ve received many special jury awards and Best Actor awards for the film in Kerala. It has opened a window of opportunities for me. In fact, people in Kerala call me Edachena Kunkan!” says Sarath.

Getting more and more busy in Mollywood, he has just signed two Malayalam films: Christian Brothers and Oridathoru Postman. Sarathkumar will also appear in a Kannada film soon, a film with Darshan in the lead.

After Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, what is next on his list?Sarathkumar quickly replies, “In fact, I’ll be doing a film in Bollywood by the end of July. I can’t reveal anything about the project except that I will be working with two of the most sought-after filmmakers from the South!”

Great going, Sarath aka Edachena Kunkan!
