R. Sarathkumar, the President of the South Indian Film Artistes' Association, has been re-elected to the same post, and will continue in office for the next term also. In the last Assembly elections, Sarathkumar was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamilnadu, from the Tenkasi constituency.
Sarathkumar, is currently working in 3 Tamil movies including Kochadaiyaan, and 2 Kannada movies, and a Malayalam movie is in the pre-production stage.
