A section of the media recently reported that Sarathkumar will play a prominent role in Thuppakki. However sources close to the film's unit rubbished it as mere rumours and also revealed that the film is almost complete. Audio launch of Thuppakki is likely to take place on June 22 (his birthday) and the film will be an Independence Day treat.
Thuppakki is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu while Santosh Sivan ASC is the cinematographer. Harris Jayaraj has composed the music and Jayamohan has penned the lyrics.
