Sachin Tendulkar in a film
India’s cricketing pride and ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar will soon be featured in a film titled Vighnahartra Shri Siddhivinayak. Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali will be shown performing a pooja in the film which talks about the power of Lord Siddhivinayak.
Sachin Tendulkar is an ardent devotee of Lord Siddhivinayak and he readily agreed to be a part of the film when the film’s producer Raju Sangvi offered him the role.
Arc lights are nothing new for Sachin Tendulkar, who has appeared in myriad ads and documentaries to promote many a good cause. And many film directors and producers wax eloquent about Sachin's photogenic face; his mannerism and expressions make him a perfect candidate for a film. So there is no doubt he will shine in films just like he shines in cricket.
In 2003, a Bollywood film named Stumped, produced by actress Raveena Tandon, featured footage of Sachin Tendulkar’s message to the public. But Sachin did not act in the film the way Kapil Dev did in Iqbal.
