S.S. Kumaran composes for Thiruvizha

One of the upcoming talented composers of filmi music is S.S. Kumaran. His debut album for Poo, starring Srikanth-Parvathy and directed by Sasi, was full of rustic notes.Songs such as ‘Avaaram Poo’ and ‘Choo Choo Mari’ have brought Kumaran tremendous identity and popularity.

Kumaran hails from Tirunelveli and he came to Chennai with a firm determination to succeed in Kollywood. Ashis first step towards stardom, hecompleted a course at the film institute in cinematography and took up a job in Chennai Port Trust. Rigght from his childhood, Kumaran has been interested in film music and kept trying his hand at singing. Though confident in himself, at the outset, the movie musical world and its incomprehensible technicalitiesdampened his confidence and delayed his entry in films. His knowledge of technology hasfacilitated his launch. Isagnani Ilayaraja is Kumaran’s role model. According to him, working and producing fresh tunes for different filmi situations is the best way to demonstrate one’s true potential as a composer.

Now, after the release of Poo and the great response to its music, Kumaran is busy on a signing spree. The next film going to be releasedwith his music is Thriuvizha.
