Leading Tamil actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran released recently took a strong opening in theatres across Tamil Nadu after coming out as a Tamil New Year special treat for fans. Blockbuster producer S. Kathiresan of Five Star Creations has made his directorial debut with the mass action entertainer, which also includes Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the female lead, and Sarathkumar cast as the antagonist, with music by National Award-winning composer G. V. Prakash Kumar. As with all Lawrence films, his dance is a major highlight and the 'Jorthaale' song in Rudhran shows him once again making fans take to the dance floor in theatres in celebrations.
The 'Jorthaale' song has music produced by ofRo and lyrics by Asal Kolaar, with the duo also singing the vocals along with MC Vickey. The song was initially released as an independent track back in 2022 and later adapted for Rudhran, and is now officially a chart-topping hit among the youngsters across Tamil Nadu. In the 'Jorthaale' song, we see Lawrence once again elevating the visuals with his electrifying, fast-paced and quirky dance steps and movements, which have garnered a huge response on social media, with many fans coming up with their own cover versions.
Rudhran saw Raghava Lawrence making a return to the big screen for the first time in nearly four years after the release of his Muni 4: Kanchana 3, which turned out to be a phenomenal box office success, while also becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 2019. Apart from 'Jorthaale', the recreated version of the yesteryear classic hit 'Paadatha Pattellam' song in the film composed by Dharan and picturized on Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar too has received a stellar reaction. With Rudhran getting a good start, Lawrence will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders for his upcoming ventures Chandramukhi 2, Jigarthanda Double X, Adhigaaram, and a project under Meyaadha Maan and Aadai fame Rathna Kumar's direction, which will be produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
