The epic action drama is produced by D. V. V. Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment and also starred Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris apart from the 2 main stars.
The story revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries and their fight against the British Raj. Set in 1920, the plot explores the undocumented period in their lives when both the revolutionaries chose to go into obscurity before they began the fight for their country. Made on a budget of a whopping Rs. 550 crores, RRR is the most expensive Indian film ever to be made to date which happened to gross more than 1200 crores at the worldwide box office.
