This is not the first time Big B has tested positive for COVID-19. The veteran actor had previously tested positive for novel coronavirus back in July 2020 due to which he spent time in the hospital for almost three weeks. It was not only him who was affected by it but also his actor son Abhishek Bachchan, actor daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently awaiting the release of Ayan Mukerji's directorial 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' which is all set for a theatrical release on 9 September 2022. The film will also star newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and wife Alia Bhatt in leading roles with Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in supporting roles.
After Brahmastra, Big B will be seen in Vikas Bahl's 'Good Bye' alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta, and Pavail Gulati. The makers of the film recently announced that the film will be released on 7 October 2022. Apart from these two films, Big B has also wrapped up his shoot for his upcoming project 'Uunchai' starring Parineeti Chopra, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani. The release date of the film is still awaited. He also has Nag Ashwin's 'Project K' in his kitty in which he will be seen acting alongside Baahubali hunk Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
