Roopa Iyer's Mukhaputa

Popular Kannada actress Roopa Iyer is all set to debut as director with Mukhaputa, a film based on the problems faced by children afflicted by HIV. The film is touted to be a realistic narration of the lives of young patients and how they are treated by society. The audio of Mukhaputa was recently launched in Bangalore.

"The film revolves around HIV-afflicted children and we want to create awareness about this disease. Many misconceived notions about this disease still remain and we have to correct such impressions. I hope this film will change these wrong perceptions. I have done a lot of research and consultations before writing the script of the film," said Roopa.

Mukhaputa has music by writer-composer Hamsalekha. The venture is being produced by Narayana Hosamane, who has earlier made Meera Maadhava Raghava and Bollywood film Raghu Romeo.
