Roma included as witness in Total4U case

Mollywood's charming actress Roma, set to debut in Tamil with director S.K. Jeeva's upcoming romantic thriller Vanjikottai Vaaliban opposite Sakthi, has been included as a witness in the controversial financial fraud case of financial firm Total4U, owned by Sabarinath, who was accused of defrauding people of crores of rupees by accepting deposits with�promises of high returns.

Roma is one among 320 witnesses in the case. Roma had reportedly performed in a music album produced by Sabarinath. The Crime Branch, which probed the case for the last one year, recently filed the chargesheet at the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court.

20�persons, including Sabarinath, Dr. Remani and Chandramathi Amma, have been listed as the accused in the case. They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for cheating, conspiracy and forgery.

According to the charge sheet, nearly 1,200 persons were cheated of around Rs. 50 crores from April 2007 under the banner of several financial firms floated by Sabarinath, without the permission of the Reserve Bank of India. The Crime Branch had submitted 501 documentary evidences and 308 material evidences.
