The recently released biopic of former scientist and aerospace engineer of the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) scientist Nambi Narayan has touched the hearts of many. With R. Madhavan playing the titular role, the film introduces the audience to the history of the Padma Bhushan scientist who underwent several hardships and made numerous sacrifices for the sake of the country's space research development. R. Madhavan made his directorial debut with the film and has also produced and written it as well.

For those who were/are not able to catch the film on the big screen, fret not. Some wonderful news lies ahead. Amazon Prime Video today announced the exclusive streaming premiere of the biographical drama film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Prime members who are present across 240 countries can stream the film from 26 July 2022 in Tamil and Hindi as well as its dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The OTT giant took to its official Twitter handle, shared the poster and wrote, "hop on for a space adventure 🚀 #RocketryOnPrime, July 26 ". Check it out:

The biopic is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, who was wrongfully framed for espionage and later imprisoned in 1994. The film chronicles his days as a graduate student at Princeton University, his achievements, his passion for the country's space research mission, his unparalleled dedication to his field of work, and the false accusation that eventually became the biggest personal and professional setback of both his life and his career.

Rocketry was filmed simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and English languages. It first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was later released theatrically on 1 July 2022 opening to positive response from fans and critics alike. Rocketry was produced by Tricolour Films, Varghese Moolan Pictures, and also features actors Simran, and Ranjit Kapoor in crucial roles with a special cameo role by Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan in the Tamil and Hindi versions respectively.
