Rihanna badly bruised by Chris
Source from the police department and the hotel where Rihanna and Chris Brown were staying have come forth with some rather disturbing new details about the way Rihanna was beaten up by Chris last weekend, behaviour�that had him booked on a felony criminal threat charge.
"Chris knocked her around quite a bit," a hotel source revealed. Adding, "Black eye, blood, bruises. She had to be treated by a doctor."�A source from the police department confirms, "She suffered a black eye, a swollen split lip and two red and purple contusions on either side of her forehead. She looked distraught and in a lot of pain. Her eyes were closed because she was looking down."
Rihanna is currently put up in a ‘safe place’ while the LAPD investigate into the case.�Police Chief William Bratton says�the case will be handed over to the district attorney's office by Wednesday and it is likely that Chris will be charged with more crimes by the prosecutors. Should Rihanna show signs of wanting to forgive Chris and try and work things out, then the prosecutors will not interfere. "Prosecutors back off somewhat when they see a couple trying to work out their own issues," says Steve Sitkoff, an L.A. defense attorney. But Rihanna’s friends, who have been a great source of support, hope that she will not go back to him.
However, a few others who’ve known Chris are shocked by the domestic violence case against him. His school gym master, for�instance, says, "I've never known Chris to be combative. He's always low-key, easygoing." Another revelation that makes it quite hard to believe he beat up Rihanna is the fact that his stepfather used to constantly physically abuse his mom. "He made me terrified all the time," Chris had said once, adding, "I hate him to this day." However, it does appear that he has indeed taken after the very same man whom he loathes.
