Ranbir replaces SRK as Pepsi brand ambassador

Is King Khan losing his youth? Is he no more one among the “youngistan” of India?

SRK's six-pack abs and slick-chic style may be raved about all over Bollywood, but Pepsi does not think so. It feels that King Khan does not connect with the youth any more. Result? The company has recently replaced SRK with Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador.

A Pepsi company release has stated that Shahrukh Khan is losing his appeal among youngsters. Hence, the company's choice fell on the newly-mintedRanbir Kapoor. It may be remembered that in the last Youngistan campaign, Shahrukh Khan shared screen-space with Ranbir and Deepika Padukone. Even in that campaign, the actor appeared only as the middle-aged “uncle” who was outwittedby the young, smart Ranbir.

When questioned, SRK dismisses Pepsi's decision with a chuckle. As usual, the actor takes it in a cool vein and jokes about growing old.

Whatever Pepsi may think of SRK, the actor has definitely not lost his mass appeal, courtesy, the phenomenal success of his foot-tapping numbers in the recently-released Billu. He is indeed the Baadshah of Bollywood.
