If the latest reports from Tollywood are to be believed, actors Rana Daggubati and Ravi Teja might share screen space for the first time for the Telugu remake of the recently acclaimed Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Sithara Entertainments, the production house which bankrolled films like Jersey (Nani starrer), Ranarangam, and Bheeshma, is said to have acquired the Telugu remake rights. It is said that Rana Daggubati has been approached to play Prithviraj’s role, while Ravi Teja is in talks to reprise Biju Menon’s role. An official word on the project can be expected soon.

It is also added that the shooting is expected to begin once the situation gets back to normalcy. The fans have already got excited hearing these speculations and if this news becomes true, it would indeed be a visual treat to witness two big stars, Rana and Ravi Teja lock horns against each other. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is also to be remade in Hindi and Tamil and the cast for both the versions are yet to be announced.

Though rumours are rife that Sasikumar might play one of the leads in the Tamil remake, nothing has been officially confirmed. Talking about Ayyappanum Koshiyum, the Malayalam film was directed by Sachy and it was raved by the critics and general audience for its gripping screenplay and smart writing, apart from the intense performances from the lead actors.
