Leading Telugu actor Ram Charan announced on Monday, November 28, his next film, which will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. The upcoming film, which is tentatively titled RC 16, will see the two collaborating for the first time and the news was shared by the actor on Twitter. RC 16 will be jointly produced by the Vriddhi Cinemas in association with the Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings banners, and will be a pan-Indian venture. The wait is now on for who will be sharing screen space alongside Ram Charan in RC 16, which also has the tagline revealed, "Sometimes, Revolt becomes a necessity". There is quite a lot of buzz surrounding the film as it will be Ram Charan's next after his RC 15 with blockbuster Tamil director Shankar, which is being produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and has Bollywood sensation Kiara Advani as the female lead featuring music by Thaman. The film's shooting is underway in New Zealand now where the team is filming a song featuring Ram Charan and Kiara, with production expected to carry on for another week.

Ram Charan is coming fresh off the mammoth success of RRR, which he recently promoted in Japan along with co-star Jr. NTR and the film's director S. S. Rajamouli. After RC 15 and RC 16, Ram Charan will join hands once again with Rangasthalam director Sukumar for their next about which RRR director SS Rajamouli recently revealed that a "hard-hitting introduction" sequence has already been shot and will make "the audience quiver in their seats."
