Rajmohan Unnithan in central role

Congress leader and former KPCC General Secretary Rajmohan Unnithan, who is well-known for his rhetorical skills in the political environment of Kerala, has made his debut with Suresh Gopi starrer Tiger directed by Shaji Kailas in 2005. He played the role of the Chief Minister of Kerala in this edge-of-the-seat investigative thriller. On account of his crisp dialogue delivery, he was soon offered a stream of films and met with reasonable success.

Now, Unnithan is playing a central character in Kausthabham, in which he plays the role of a temple tantri with supernatural powers. 'This is a totally different role from my previous seven films where it was more of dialogue delivery. It is a tough role for me because a lot of emotions have to be displayed. I am enjoying it hugely,' Unnithan told.

Directed by Sajeev K., who worked as an assistant to award-winning director Jayraj, the movie is being shot in Kannur district. The film also stars Sreenivasan, Jagadish, Saikumar, Indrans, Karthika, Sukumari and Mini Arun.

'This is my second film this year and I am happy to be back wearing the grease paint,' said Unnithan, who has already acted in seven films so far including Balram vs. Tharadas. His last film Jubilee was released in January this year.
