‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Darbar, announced for a Pongal 2020 release is being directed by A. R. Murugadoss with two major schedules wrapped up in Mumbai already and the third schedule currently being filmed in the metropolitan city. Being produced under the Lyca Productions banner with music by Anirudh Ravichander, filming on the upcoming mass action entertainer is at present taking place at the Terna Speciality Hospital & Research Centre, Navi Mumbai with shooting spot stills and a video of Rajinikanth stepping out after completing his portions have gone viral on social media.
Darbar includes a massive team which includes cast members Nayanthara playing the female lead, Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar as the antagonists and a stellar technical team featuring names like cinematographer Santhosh Sivan, editor Sreekar Prasad, art director T. Santanam, stunt choreographers Ram-Laxman, lyricist Vivek, and costume designer Niharikha Bhasin Khan. Expectations for Darbar are sky-high as it will be the first time we will be seeing Rajinikanth donning the khakhi after a gap of 28 years when he was last seen in Pandiyan.
