Director Atlee made his mark with his very first movie Raja Rani. The romantic drama made sure it impressed people of all age groups. A stellar star cast and music is one of the biggest reasons it succeeded so well.

Now, the Tamil Nadu State Award has honored him with the best writer for Raja Rani. The lead pair Nayanthara has won the Best Actress award while Arya had won the Best Actor award making it a hat trick win for the entire team. Atlee is now working on his second movie with Vijay titled Mersal.
