Punyam Aham starts rolling

Director Raj Nair, grandson of literary giant Thakazhi Shivashankara Pillai, who penned the immortal Chemmeen and many other memorable novels in Malayalam, is the director of Punyam Aham with�upcoming superstar Prithviraj and Samvritha Sunil in the lead. Produced by the director�with Shyam Prasad and Janardhanan Menon under the Mirabilia Films banner, the movie will start rolling from January 10 at Ottapalam and Kuttanad.

Based on the legend of Naranathu Bhranthan, Vararuchi and Panjami, the film has Nedumudi Venu, K.P.A.C. Lalitha and M.R. Gopakumar in other important roles. This year's state award-winning cinematographer M.J. Radhakrishnan is the man behind the camera; Isaac Thomas Kottukapilly is scoring the music. M.J. Radhakrishnan will crank the camera and�music will be by Isaac Thomas Kottukapally and editing by Beena Paul.

Raj Nair,�a doctorate in oral medicine, currently teaches at�Brisbane University, Australia. He earlier directed�the documentary film Kaazhchavasthukkal on the loneliness of old age featuring his grandmother Katha.�Raj is also planning to make a feature film in Thai titled The Blind Mirror.
