Director Priyadarshan is a known face all over Indian and is one of the maverick filmmakers in Malayalam cinema. The director has stepped into Tamil cinema once again after meaningful movies like Kancheevaram.

This time, he is working with Udhayanidhi Stalin in a Malayalam remake. The original movie starring Fahad Fazil was named Maheshinte Parthikaram while the Tamil film is yet to be titled. Priyadarshan had brought director Mahendran who did a villain role in Theri in a more poised and subtle character as Udhayanidhi’s father.

Filmmaking is underway in Kuttralam and a strong technical team including music by Darbuka Siva, camera work by Ekambaram adds strength to the film. Parvathy Nair and Namida Promod play the female lead in this untitled project produced by Moonshot Entertainment.
