Priest appalled by Madonna

Retired Roman Catholic Cardinal Jorge Medina hasdubbed Madonna’s stage performance as lustful, a stain on humanity and offensive to God during the mass held for the late Chilean military dictator Gen. Augusto Pinochet. Medina, who is no favourite amongst the people given his close ties to the late dictator (who was responsible for the mysterious disappearance of over 3000 people), said that Madonna’s coming to Santiago on the Latin American leg of her Sticky and Sweet Tour to promote her album Hard Candy caused an agitated atmosphere in their city. "The atmosphere in our city is pretty agitated because this woman is visiting and with incredibly shameful behaviour provokes a wild and lustful enthusiasm," he said. Adding, "Thoughts of lust, impure thoughts andimpure acts are an offence to God and a dirty stain on our heart."
