Prem's rising career
Prem Kumar became famous for his great performances in Kannamma, Nepali and Dhanam. His big break came in the role of a police official in Unnaipol Oruvan/ Eenadu. Thrilled that he got this opportunity of sharing screen space with mega stars Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Venkatesh, Prem acknowledged that the encouragement of the seniors enabled him to perform his role to the satisfaction of all.
"Initially I was overawed by the presence of the big stars but overcame that during the course of the shoot. As my father was a top-ranking police official, I had the advantage of having observed his body language," says Prem, revealing how he could make his character most natural.
Apprehensive of getting typecast as police officer (Prem did a similar role in Nepali) the actor is all for variety. The role he likes most is the second hero's role in Vada.
