Alphonse Puthren is a blockbuster director who is known across South India. He has worked predominantly in Malayalam language films. The director made his debut in Nivin Pauly's starrer hyperlink film Neram which was also released in Tamil. His second film was the blockbuster Premam which was a talked-about film His next film was Gold which was released recently. The director is known to be an avid follower of Tamil Cinema and is known for his fanatic comments on updates about actors 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan, 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Ajith Kumar.
One of the top stars of the Tamil Film Industry, 'Thalapathy' Vijay joined Instagram yesterday. The star broke the internet as he become the fastest Kollywood star to get one million followers by just posting one photo. The director Alphonse Puthren posted a comment about it that is becoming viral on the internet. The director shared the photo that 'Thalapathy' Vijay shared on his Instagram and stated “Fanboy here” as fans flooded the post with comments, he replied to some of them. A fan commented “Vijay na + Alphonse + Samantha + Premam kinda Love story” asking if Alphonse Puthren would direct a love story like Premam with Vijay and Samantha. The director stated, “If they both agree I will make a full-action love story. Both of them are very very talented in action”.
As fans also asked if he was not a Thala fan, the director clarified "I am a fan of 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Hassan, 'Thalapathy' Vijay and (AK) Ajith Kumar in Tamil. As the director recently announced that his next project will be in Tamil. He posted a video yesterday announcing open auditions. He said they are conducting auditions for 40 people for character roles and any person between 15-55 age can apply. He stated that it’s not constricted to Tamil people, anyone from the seven continents can audition but the person should be interested and patient to work in Cinema.
