Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for Beast which will be his next release in Tamil cinema. Beast is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame and has music composed by Anirudh. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead and Selvaraghavan as the antagonist. After completing Beast, Vijay will be joining hands with director Vamshi Paidipally for his next, Thalapathy 66. The project was officially announced recently and the fans are already looking forward to the film. Thalapathy 66 will be a Tamil/Telugu bilingual that will have a pan Indian release on a record number of screens.

Dil Raju will be producing the film under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Vamshi is known for directing Karthi's Thozha and Mahesh Babu's Maharshi and Thalapathy 66 will indeed be a big leap for the talented filmmaker. While the star cast of Thalapathy 66 is yet to be officially announced, the news is out that Prakash Raj will be seen playing a pivotal character in the film. The ace actor revealed the big news in his recent interview with a popular Telugu television channel. When Prakash Raj was asked if he has been staying away from Tamil movies in recent times, the Ghilli actor denied it and revealed his upcoming set of projects.

Prakash Raj said, "I have acted in Rajinikanth's film (Annaatthe) and Suriya's film (Jai Bhim). I going to act in Vijay's film". The clipping of Prakash Raj's statement has grabbed the attention of the fans who are now excited to witness the iconic Ghilli combo again. Though Prakash Raj has not mentioned the name of the project, it is more or less confirmed that the said project is Thalapathy 66 as there have been no official updates on his presence in Beast which in turn leaves us with only one option - Thalapathy 66.

Prakash Raj has already acted in Vamshi's earlier directorial ventures like Munna, Brindavanam, Thozha, and Maharshi and Thalapathy 66 will mark their fifth collaboration. Get ready for an official announcement soon!
