Prabhas-Puri film launch on March 9

Sairam Shankar's debut film directed by his famous director brother Puri Jagannath has been put on the back burner for the time being. The reason for this delay is that Puri Jagannath, whose Neninthe, starring Ravi Teja and newcomer Siya, didn't fare too well at the box-office and the director opined another filmwould make up for Neninthe's bad performance.

As many distributors and producers are looking askance at Puri Jagannath due to the failure of Neninthe, the ace director has decided on an out-and-out commercial potboiler starring Prabhas. Producers, who are the driving force in Tollywood, are also displeased by the implicit criticisms of the film industry as a whole inNeninthe.

Aditya Ram will be producing Puri's next directorial venture (with Prabhas as hero) under his own banner, Aditya Ram Movies. The banner will produce 10 films – all in a 'corporate' style or in other words, slick and technical films which are suited for urban audiences.

The Aditya Ram-Puri Jagannath-Prabhas film will be launched on March 9th and is expected to be finished in a single shooting schedule.
