Pooja Gandhi is back
Pooja Gandhi, who debuted in the Karan-starrer Kokki as heroine, got busy in Sandalwood and found no time to act in Tamil films except for a small role in Vaitheeswaran. But now, she is back in Kollywod because of the efforts of director Perarasu; she will be paired up with Arjun in Perarasu’s Thiruvannamalai.
First, director Perarasu selected Sania Vahil, a Mumbai model, to act as the heroine in Thiruvannamalai and he even held a photo session with Arjun and Sania. But due to her personal problems and busy modelling commitments she had made earlier in Mumbai, Sania could not spare dates for the film. Therefore, Perarasu had no option but to look for some other heroine. He then zeroed in on Pooja Gandhi, who is ruling Karnataka film industry at present. Now, he will conduct another photo session with Arjun and Pooja Gandhi (aka Sanjana).
Thiruvannamalai, which has action king Arjun in the lead, is about a cable TV operator who has a tiff with local politicians. How he scores over his newfound enemies forms the crux of the story. Like all Arjun films, Thiruvannamalai too has plenty of action.
Pooja Gandhi is a very successful heroine in Karnataka. Her movie Mungaru Male was an instant hit and went on to become a huge blockbuster. Thus began Pooja’s journey in Sandalwood. She is a very talented actress who has been accepted in all kinds of roles in Kannada; she can be demure or glamorous.
