Ponniyin Selvan 2 is one the most anticipated films of the year that is set to release on 28th April. The film has created a huge excitement, as the first part that was released last year drove people to theatres and is the magnum opus of the Iconic Indian director Mani Ratnam. The film also features a huge star cast that includes Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram, Rahman, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, R Parthiban, Aishwarya Lekshmi Sobhita Dhulipala and Others. The film has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by acclaimed Ravi Varma, and set design by National Award winning Thotta Tharani
The makers of the film Lyca Production have been releasing a series of videos on the making of look of important characters in Ponniyin Selvan. The sketches of costumes and looks of Trisha as Kundavai, karthi as Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan were released earlier. Now, the production house has released a similar video for Vikram who plays the role of Chozha Crown Price Aditha Karikalan in the film. The video was released with the title Dressing up Aditha Karikalan and shows sketches, handicrafts for the face of the lion, woven armour and so on and the final look of the costume on the star. The makers have also given credit to the technician Eka Lakhani for Costume Design. Vikram Gaiwad for Hair and Makeup and Kishandas and Co for Jewellery in the video.
The makers have shared the video with the caption: “From courage to charm, The transformation of Chiyaan into the legendary warrior price Aditha Karikalan - A treat for the fans". The makers have also revealed that the trailer of the movie will be released soon and they said “Stay tuned for the trailer”. The first single from Ponniyin Selvan 2 Aga Naga with music composed by AR Rahman was released in the beginning of the week and became an instant hit.
