BForce is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organisation and charitable trust based in Chennai. Founded as a tribute to Late Mrs Santha Mohandas and Mr Mohandas (IPS), the focus of the trust is to provide humble assistance to the Tamil Nadu Police force and their families in areas of cancer management and other medical needs. BForce has 24 beneficiaries till date. As they enter their seventh year of service, they are showing their dedication towards the Police force and their families, emotionally and monetarily, in their fight against cancer. In their endeavour to be able to serve more families, they have organised a fund-raiser programme on the 22nd of April 2014 at the Music Academy. Padma Shri Shobana has choreographed Samadhina – Trance; the dance of spirituality from myth to modernity, to be staged for the first time, especially for BForce. Eminent musicians, Shri Anil Srinivasan - piano, Padma Shri Vijay Ghate - tabla and Shri Sanjoy Das - new age lead guitarist, will accompany her.
