Onam: Mammootty celebrates on sets
This year, Mammootty, the one-man industry of Mollywood, celebrated the most important Malayalee festival of Onam, working. He was busy shooting of his latest film, Mayabazaar. As there were only two more days to go before wrapping up the shooting, Mammootty decided to shoot through the festive days.
Mammootty, also known as Pannaparambil Muhammad Kutty, is fasting for the month of Ramzan, so he has celebrated Onam with the cast and crew of Mayabazaar. After wrapping up Mayabazaar within a couple of days, Mammootty will join the final schedule of Pazhassi Raja in Karnataka.
For the first time, after twenty-five years, Mammootty does not have an Onam release this year. But to compensate for this, his Mayabazaar will grace theatres on the first of October as a Ramzan release.
