Nisha pours cold water on outdoor shooting plans

Yes, we are referring to an act of God named cyclone Nisha. Yesterday we reported how rain played havoc, effectively stopping the shooting of Enthiran, how many filmmakerswere forced to stop shooting due to bad weather. It is not just mega-budget films with grand sets like Enthiran (also referred to as Endhiran) thatare suffering from theinclement weather butevery film isfacing the same problem.Filmmakers are not even willing to shoot any romantic and “wet” song as the downpour is quite severe and unpredictable. What happened with Simbu’s Silambattam when the makers planned to film a song in the rain? As they prepared to shoot the scene ina gardenin Porur in a slight drizzle, the rain intensified intoa deluge and the idea sank without a trace.

Shooting ofRajathi Raja (Lawrence), Sangamithra (Sathyaraj), Adhi Narayana (Meera Jasmine and Karunas), Odum Megangale and many others had to be stopped due to bad weather.

Some filmmakers, whose films are left with portions that can be shot only in outdoor locations are extremely exasperated. But they will have to bite the bullet for a few more days with the Meteorological Department forecasting heavy rains for the next two days even as cyclone Nisha is expected to cross the Tamil Nadu coast today.
