Nandhagi discovered in temple!
This is yet another story of a normal person, with next to no cine ambitions, getting spotted at the most unexpected place by a producer and getting�pulled into the limelight. Nandhagi, the very Tamil-looking heroine of director Meera Kathirvan’s Aval Peyar Tamizharasi, is from Kanchivaram and would have stayed there had she not been spotted at a temple by the producers of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu! She was asked if she was interested in acting and since she was, they asked her to come to Chennai for a screen test. It was then when she heard about Meera’s project, submitted her pictures, auditioned and got selected for Aval Peyar Tamizharasi. While the actress was so excited to be in showbiz and couldn’t wait to bask in the spotlight, director Meera�punctured her excitement, by�ordering that she would be revealed as the heroine only after the movie was�completed and the audio was being released! Nandhagi was Meera’s best kept secret and he simply refused to divulge anything about her. It was only at the audio release of Aval Peyar Tamizharasi that the media at last got to see her, and she did not disappoint!
