Nana Patekar debuts in Kannada
National Award winning actor Nana Patekar, who is currently busy shooting for director Prakash Jha's upcoming Rajneeti, is all set to debut in Kannada with Yaksha, being produced by Siddaraju and directed by Ramesh Rao. Starring Yogi in the lead role, Yaksha, with Nana Patekar making a special appearance, will be launched on October 2 in Bangalore.
Director Ramesh Rao reportedly said that when he wrote the script, he had Nana in mind and suggested his name to the producer. He even went to Mumbai to meet Nana for a script-reading session; the actor was impressed but�said he would not be able to give bulk dates for the film. "When I explained that we would shoot his portions at his convenience, he agreed to act in our film."
Producer Siddaraju�was quoted as saying: "I spoke to Nana Patekar on Tuesday. He is busy shooting near Bhopal for Rajneeti. Nana said he has to shoot for nearly 45 days and is not in a position to tell whether he would be able make it for the muhurath shot. We have told Nana that he can allot dates from November to January for our film and we will adjust our schedules according to his convenience."
